Chai Point franchise: costs and availability
Chai Point publishes a company-operated investment model as well as a separate Brewing Bots distributor programme. The distinction matters: funding a managed store and operating a distribution business create different responsibilities, risks and cash flows even though both use the same consumer brand.

Official FICO and distributor enquiries Observed
The official FICO page describes capital supplied by an investor with store operations managed by Chai Point. A separate official distributor website covers Brewing Bots; confirm which programme is offered for the intended location and do not combine their commercial terms.
What is published about costs? Observed The FICO page publishes approximately ₹22–₹25 lakh plus a one-time ₹75,000 brand fee and GST. These are advertised programme figures reviewed on 26 October 2026; confirm scope, contractual payment obligations and exit conditions directly with Chai Point.
Observed means recorded from the linked sources on the review date. It does not confirm an available territory or independent verification of a brand’s claims. The location and operating checks below are our due-diligence suggestions.

FICO is different from running your own café
Chai Point labels its store investment programme FICO, meaning Franchise Investment and Company Owned, and says it manages store operations. The official website separately describes distributor opportunities for Brewing Bots. These are different commercial relationships; the responsibilities and promotional figures from one should not be treated as terms of the other.
Our recommendation is to define the role sought before comparing options. An investor seeking company-managed operations needs to evaluate the payment obligation and counterparty, while a distributor needs to evaluate customer acquisition, equipment, service and stock. Neither should be assessed solely by counting cups sold across the wider brand network or by assuming the business runs without ongoing dependencies.
Read advertised financial terms against the agreement
The FICO page advertises an investment range, a brand fee and financial return and capital repayment claims. Those are company promotional statements, not independently verified outcomes or an assurance from Map My Franchise. Our recommendation is to request the proposed agreement and identify the legal entity responsible for each promised payment and the circumstances that can change it.
Ask what the invested capital legally funds, how it is recorded, whether there is security and what happens on delayed payment, early exit, store closure or company distress. Verify deductions, tax treatment and the timing of repayment with qualified advisers. A phrase such as capital refund needs enforceable conditions and a solvent payer; it should not be treated as risk-free cash.
Site selection still matters in a managed model
Our site review would examine office attendance, commute patterns, breakfast and evening beverage demand, and nearby low-cost alternatives. Even when another party manages the store, the property and catchment remain commercially relevant. Ask how the company selects sites, whether the investment is linked to a specific store and what information about trading performance will be provided.
Compare high streets, technology parks, workplaces and transit settings separately rather than assuming the same demand curve. Check access permissions, trading hours, customer concentration and the effect of holidays or remote working. These are our due-diligence questions, not conditions published for every Chai Point application; they help reveal what drives the business behind the advertised investment proposition.
If considering Brewing Bots, evaluate the service business
The distributor programme describes placing beverage machines with business customers and providing ongoing support. Our assessment would focus on territory, customer contracts, deployment costs, consumables, collections and maintenance capacity. A distributor's opportunity depends on the ability to win and retain sites, which is a different question from funding a company-managed retail counter.
Ask who owns each machine, who pays for breakdowns, how service response is measured and how a cancelled customer contract affects stock and capital. Model travel between customer sites and the working capital needed for supplies. Obtain the programme-specific agreement before comparing expected income; store-level illustrations should not be used as a substitute for a realistic distributor operating plan.
Chai Point franchise questions
Does Chai Point publish a company-managed investment route?
Yes. Its official FICO page describes investor capital with operations managed by the company. Confirm the current agreement, eligibility and location availability directly.
Are the advertised returns guaranteed by Map My Franchise?
No. They are brand promotional claims. Evaluate the signed payment terms, risks, counterparty and repayment conditions with appropriate advisers before committing capital.
Is Brewing Bots distributorship the same programme as FICO?
No. The official distributor route concerns a beverage machine and supplies business. Use its own agreement, capital requirements and service obligations rather than applying FICO store terms.
